Circle Of Friends

Last month I was awarded the "Circle of Friend's Award" by a fellow beader and chainmailler Green Star Jewellery. So a huge thank you to Greenstar for sending me this ward - its much appreciated!

One of the conditions of the award is that I have to tell you 5 things that I love so:

1. My Gorgeous Dogs - Amber and Jasmine

2. My Family - Even if they do live in other countries and I don't see them as much as I would like

3. Designing Jewellery - of course!

5. Music - especially classical

Sunday Theme - Yellow

Yellow is such a lovely bright sunny colour that I decided to make it my theme for this week. Yellow tends to be a colour that is not used in jewellery so much as other colours and yet, when it is used it can look great.

My own yellow item is my Lemon Chrysoprase Wired Pendant.

Here are some more yellow items, jewellery from my fellow Jets:

(Top to Bottom, L to R, ArtmadebyTammy, CocosGreenHouse, RadicalGlass, SatinDollCo)

and some other gorgeous items in yellow from some fellow BrisStylers

May Birthstone - Emerald

Emeralds are fascinating gemstones. They have the most beautiful, most intense and most radiant green that can possibly be imagined. The name emerald comes from the Greek 'smaragdos' via the Old French 'esmeralde', and really just means 'green gemstone'.

The green of the emerald is the colour of life and of the springtime, which comes round again and again. The magnificent green of the emerald is a colour which conveys harmony, love of Nature and elemental joie de vivre.

A piece I recently completed, using emeralds for the first time, is my Emerald and Silver Coil Necklace.
